DE GROOTE
For this festive event, I created a variety of Instagram content from eye-catching stills to dynamic videos. Each post was designed to build excitement and match the atmosphere of the party. On this page, you’ll find all the visuals I made to help promote De Groote in a fun and vibrant way.
INSTA POSTS
For the preparations of the big event, I mainly helped with creating social media posts. I really enjoyed working on them and learned a lot along the way. I didn’t design all the posts myself, since some had to be finished by specific dates and some took longer to create than others, so it was more efficient to divide the work. I especially liked this project because I really enjoy working with this house style. If you scroll down, you’ll see all the Instagram posts lined up together.
What I liked most about this project was that we actually got to attend the big event ourselves, since Zij & Blij is one of the sponsors.

The first post I created for De Groote was based on a template from last year. I updated the colors and elements to give it a more modern look. I designed and animated everything in After Effects.
After that, I was asked to create a post to thank all the sponsors of the event. Since there were so many, I decided to turn it into a carousel. I'm really happy with the final result, especially because it was entirely my own idea and not based on a previous post. I created the whole thing in InDesign.

I have to say, I’m really proud of this next post. It was made to announce that the event was only one week away, and my goal was to build excitement and get people even more hyped. I did this by starting with a zoom-in shot of the event location, followed by quick flashes of last year’s party, and ending with the logo. I also added a dramatic soundtrack to boost the energy—but unfortunately, you can’t hear it here. For the full effect (and better quality), check out the video on De Groote’s Instagram!

This next post was made to show what time the doors open and when the grand opening will take place. It was inspired by a post from last year, but I gave it a fresh, updated look to match this year’s style.
This post was created to announce that the event is happening tonight. I made it in After Effects and used footage from last year to give it a lively and exciting feel.

And that brings an end to the social media posts, but not to my role in this story! I was also asked to help at the entrance of the event, putting on wristbands for the guests. After that, I got to attend the party myself with the rest of the Zij & Blij team. Technically, it was a 21+ event and I was only 18, but they made an exception. It turned out to be an unforgettable night!
